The Sacramento Chapter has five main events slated for 2017:

1.  Chapter Scholarships will be awarded to area high school students to attend a “Youth Summit” at the Freedom Foundation’s national headquarters in Valley Forge, PA on March 2-5 2017.  All education programs take place at the Foundation’s 85-acre campus, located 25 miles from Philadelphia.

2.  Two (2) Teacher Scholarships 
will be awarded locally for attendance to an accredited educational program that enables teachers to return to their classrooms with a deeper understanding of our nation and history.  The classes are taught by noted historians and faculty from leading institutions.  Information and sign ups click here.


3.  Annual Charity Golf Tournament
will be held at Timber Creek Golf Course on Friday, April 28, 2017 with a 12:30 p.m. Shotgun Start.


4.  Constitution Forum –
The very successful one day Constitution Forum held at Elk Grove School District in 2013, where government students participate in a day-long forum on the constitution, including mock committee meetings to discuss legislation and a mock congress, will be repeated.  Date TBA.


5.  The Chapter’s 2017 Annual Award Banquet
will be held on Tuesday, February 21, 2017 at the Arden Hills Resort and Spa. We will be honoring local area people who are recipients of the George Washington Honor Medal, the Leavey Award, as well as other national awards. Also being honored are local heroes exemplary in the areas of patriotism, humanitarianism and/or bravery.
